OPTIONS MENU COMMANDS Set Hot Keys Defines the hot key combination that opens the dictionary from another application. The current combination is shown in the Hot Key Sequence box in menu "FILE". The default is Ctrl+S English Ctrl+D Croatian. To change the combination, mark the combination you want and click OK. A combination using Ctrl and/or Alt is recommended. Be sure not to set the hot keys to a combination that is already defined for another command. Click on the Enable Hot Key check box to activate or disable the hot key feature.

HOW TO DEFINE HOT KEYS The "hot keys" that open the dictionary window when you are working in another application can be set to any combination you wish. Select Set Hot Keys from the FILE menu. The current combination is shown in the Hot Key Sequence box. (The default is Ctrl+S English Ctrl+D Croatian.) To set the combination differently, type the combination you want and click OK. HOW TO REPLACE A WORD IN A DOCUMENT To replace a word in a document with a word from the OnLine Dictionary, highlight the word in your document and use the hot keys to activate the dictionary. When you find a replacement word, double-click on it to move it into the Current Word box, then click on the Replace button. The word you chose will automatically replace the highlighted word in your document and your document window will be activated.

DONE FOR NOWCloses the dictionary window without exiting the program. Use this command to send the dictionary window out of sight between uses during a session. When you need the dictionary again, press the hot keys or double-click on the minimized icon to restore the dictionary window.

HOW TO ACTIVATE THE DICTIONARY While working in a text-based application, press the hot key combination (The default is Ctrl+S English Ctrl+D Croatian) or double-click on the 9A-CRO OnLine Dictionary icon to activate the dictionary window. When you use the hot keys, the dictionary program is linked to the application you are working in.

AUTOMATIC LOADING Sets the dictionary to load automatically when Microsoft Windows starts up.

HOW TO LOAD THE PROGRAM Double-click on the 9A-CRO OnLine Dictionary icon to load the program. Click on the Minimize button in the top right corner of the window or click on the Done button to reduce the dictionary window to an icon. Now you can work in a word processor or other program and activate the dictionary when you need it.

HOW TO LOOK UP A WORD by typing a word Activate the dictionary, type your word or phrase and press Enter or click on the Search button. The Definition window will display your search word's entry from the currently-selected reference. If your search word does not appear in the current reference, the Definition window will display "A" . from a word processor file While the word processing window is active, highlight the word you want to look up and press the hot key combination. The Definition window will display your search word's entry from the current reference. from the Definition window Double-click on any word in the Definition window or use the arrow keys to move the cursor to any word and press Enter to retrieve its entry from the current reference. from the Previous Word list Double-click on any word in the Previous Word list or use the arrow keys to highlight a word and press Enter to retrieve its entry from the current reference.
